The East Kentucky Science Center and Planetarium located in Prestonsburg, KY, is part of the Big Sandy Community and Technical College. It contains a 40-foot dome planetarium that seats 85 people, a 3000 square foot exhibit hall, a 60 seat classroom, and a gift shop. The newly renovated Planetarium is now one of the most technologically advanced planetariums in the United States. The Science Center is open to the public Tuesday-Friday, 1 PM - 4 PM and Saturday's, noon to 4 PM.
